Memorial Day Backpacking Trip
Over Memorial Day weekend Marc and I and our friends Josh and Betsy went to the coast for a few days of backpacking. We hiked about 23 miles on the beach ... it was beautiful! I have to admit, it was a little much trying to hike 9-10 miles a day on the sand, rocks, over beach logs and boulder hopping with our packs on. We didn't get to camp until about 9pm each night! But it was worth it. :)
WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!
Well, we finally found a house and made an offer on May 13. We close escrow June 30 and will spend the month of July moving in. We are very excited! Sorry the photo is a little blurry. I'll post a new one when I take one.
Tulip Festival
Last weekend we went to the Tulip Festival just north of Seattle with our friends Katie and Jason. It was beautiful!
Little Mt Si
My parents came for a visit in April for Easter. One of our outings was to hike Little Mt Si in North Bend.

Meet Lucy Linh Phung!
In February we went to Southern California to meet the newest addition of our family - our new niece, Lucy Linh.
Skiing at Crystal Mountain
This weekend we went skiing with our Life Group at Crystal Mountain. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Our adventure for the day was that we got a little lost on the mountain and ended up on a double black diamond run. It was definitely beyond our experience level, but we did make it down the mountain two hours later. :)
Snow Shoeing at Denny Creek
We went snow shoeing with a few friends at Denny Creek. There was SO much snow! We did get stuck a time or two on the roads and had to get "pushed" out by a truck. It was quite funny ... thank goodness for an older car. :)

Marc at the bottom of the hill ... the only thing that stopped the crazy boys who went down face first was their face hitting the snow bank. The girls were much smarter. Gliding gently down on our bottoms ... :)

A beautiful ice waterfall that we hiked to. You'll see below that people were ice climbing up it. It was amazing!
Kyle and Emily ... Marc and Kyle have a mutual friend in OC, so they used to hang out in high school, but haven't seen each other since. Kyle and his girlfriend moved to Seattle a few months ago and we ran into them at the airport on our way home from Christmas. They were brave enough to join us on one of our adventures (and I think they had fun too!).
